We are currently on the search for a highly motivated Leading Hand at our Hobart branch. This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday with a great team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Service Supervisor you will lead the workshop service team with the day to day operations and safety requirements.

What a typical day in the role will look like:

• Carrying out service, repairs and maintenance of Cat equipment
• Lead and mentor our apprentices and service technicians
• Technical troubleshooting and fault-finding, including diagnostics
• Opening and closing and invoicing service work orders
• Providing quality customer service at all times

ABOUT YOU

You still love being on the tools but want to progress your career with a pathway into management. Your strong heavy machinery and earthmoving background with excellent diagnostic skills and technical knowledge will see you succeed.

What skills and experience we are looking for:

• A fully qualified Diesel Technician with prior experience leading a team of technicians
• The ability to mentor, motivate and coach apprentices and technicians
• Understanding of computer systems, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Committed to delivering superior customer service
• Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
• Effective time management and ability to work unsupervised
• A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
